Build kit · for your AI assistant
Build your own bitcoin trading bot, with your AI doing the building
This is the step-by-step plan of the bitcoin bot in the logbook, written so an AI assistant builds it with you. You get the logic, the safety checks and the lessons from every mistake. You don't get a promise about what it will make. The name promised 2% a week; the realistic goal turned out to be 0.5%, and that isn't a promise either.
The same bot is in the logbook: 27 weeks, a median of +0.45% realized per week after fees; its open positions are shown next to it. Past weeks say nothing about future weeks; you can lose a large part of what you put in. See the logbook · See the dashboard and design decisions

Past weeks say nothing about future weeks. No leverage, so never more than you put in, but bitcoin can fall far: you can lose a large part of it.
How it works, in four steps
- 1
Download the plan
One document that describes this bot's design step by step, with a few deliberately safer defaults, written for an AI assistant to carry out.
- 2
Hand it to your AI
Upload it into Claude, ChatGPT or a similar assistant and let it walk you through every step: code, database, alerts, deployment.
- 3
Open an exchange account
Create an account at a crypto exchange and an API key for the bot (view and trade only, never withdrawal). The plan is written for Bitvavo's BTC-EUR market; it also explains how to port it to another exchange.
- 4
Have fun
Start in paper mode, then with the smallest amounts the exchange allows. Once live it trades with real money, and you can lose it.
What you get
The build plan
One document in 14 build phases, each with acceptance tests: the exchange wrapper and a paper exchange, the buy ladder, the sells, risk limits, the database, Telegram or Discord alerts, a read-only dashboard, integrity checks, deployment and backups. Plus the dated design decisions, going live, and what to do when it breaks. Version 1.1 (27 Oct 2026); PDF, in English.
Delivered by email
Right after payment you get a download link (valid for 72 hours, up to 5 downloads).
What it isn't
- Not signals and not copy-trading: nothing here tells you when to buy or sell.
- Not managed money: you run your own bot, on your own account.
- Not a return promise: the logbook shows what this bot did, including the open positions that are down.
What you need
An AI assistant
Claude, ChatGPT or similar, one that can handle a long document. Expect about a dozen evenings.
An exchange account with API keys
Keys with view and trade rights only, never withdrawal. The plan is written for Bitvavo (BTC-EUR) and includes a prompt to port it to another exchange; testing that port is up to you.
Telegram or Discord
For alerts: fills, sales, warnings, the daily summary.
A GitHub account
A private repository, to keep your code versioned so every change can be rolled back.
A database and a password manager
PostgreSQL 14 or newer (on your server or managed), and a password manager for your keys.
Somewhere to run it
The bot runs around the clock. Replit or a small VPS both work; they have their own monthly costs.
Money you can afford to lose
The bot trades with real funds on your exchange account. Nothing here protects you from a falling bitcoin price.
Make it yours
Make it yours, before or after you build it. Every rule in the plan is a sentence your AI can change: tell it what you want different and it rewrites the code. A few examples:
- “Use 15 rungs on the fine ladder instead of 20.”
- “Send my alerts to Discord instead of Telegram.”
- “Don't buy at all while the daily RSI is above 75.”
- “Add a stop-loss at −15%.” (This bot deliberately has none; see the design decisions.)
Questions
Do I need to be able to code?
No. Your AI writes the code and walks you through the steps. You do need to be comfortable creating API keys, reading what the AI tells you, and checking the bot before it trades real money.
Does it only work on Bitvavo?
The plan is written for Bitvavo's BTC-EUR market. It includes a prompt to port the exchange code to another exchange (for example Kraken or Coinbase), with the tests to re-run; checking that port is up to you.
Will it make money?
Nobody can promise that, and this site doesn't. The logbook shows what this bot did each week, and the open positions next to it. Past weeks say nothing about future weeks; you can lose a large part of what you put in.
How much money do I need to start?
The plan doesn't prescribe an amount, and this site never publishes account sizes. The exchange has minimum order sizes. Only use money you can afford to lose entirely.
Can I get a refund?
It is a digital download. At checkout you agree to immediate delivery and acknowledge that you lose the 14-day right of withdrawal once delivery has started, as EU rules for digital content allow.
Is this financial advice or a signal service?
No. It is engineering documentation for building and running your own software. Nothing here tells you when to buy or sell.
Past weeks say nothing about future weeks. No leverage, so never more than you put in, but bitcoin can fall far: you can lose a large part of it.
